COMPILATION OF CLASSICAL KABALA TEXTS

In this unit, you will be able to access all the free pdf classic Kabbalistic texts you need to know about as a beginner.

Some of these classics are available in English translation, while others are available only in Hebrew.
Some good translations and commentaries are protected by copyright, so we cannot display them here. This page is a work in progress, more will be uploaded in the future, and you can participate as well. If you know of more good quality free versions that could be uploaded to complete this list, feel free to share.

We have tried the most reliable translations, but you should be aware that:

Every translation, even the best one, is by its very nature a limitation of the original meaning. As good as a translation can be, it can never deliver the multidimensional meaning and symbolic encoded in these texts. Beside, even in hebrew language, kabbalistic texts are multilayered codes that can only be understood in their full dimension under certain conditions: mastery of the Hebrew language, sufficient prior Talmudic background, and the appropriate level of consciousness.

Nonetheless, while you are in the process of acquiring these foundations, English translations can offer you a first glimpse and introduction.
This warning is not meant to discourage anyone, but to make you aware of the road that awaits anyone who intend to study kabalah seriously and authentically. This is not a science to acquire with one's mind, but a wisdom accessible through an integrated practice of jewish spirituality.
